Thames Coins & Collectables is run personally by Nick Barker, an established local buyer based in Teddington. Honest advice, fair valuations and a quiet, respectful approach.
I'm Nick, and I've been buying coins, banknotes, antiques and collections in South West London for many years. Most of my work comes through word of mouth - families who have been recommended by neighbours, solicitors or friends, and who want a buyer they can genuinely trust to come into their home.
I take a quiet, patient approach to every visit. There's no rush, no pressure, and no obligation to sell. If something isn't worth what you'd hoped, I'll tell you honestly. If it's worth more than you expected, I'll tell you that too.
A lot of what I do involves helping families work through collections - sometimes after a parent or grandparent has passed away, sometimes simply because it's time to downsize. These visits matter, and I always try to handle them with the care they deserve.
